Trip to San Diego

View from our hotel room
Walking along the broadwalk

We stayed on the 27th floor
Night view of the Hilton Hotel
Famous Gas Lamp District
Breakfast buffet at the hotel
Naughty parrot tried to steal my gold chain
Weaving by day, Penelope would be forced to choose a new husband when her tapestry was complete, but all the while she waited unraveling her work by night, steadfastly sure of Ulysses return. Dont you love greek mythology. (Can you see 2 sets of eyes?)

This statue erected after the 2nd world war is named 'The Best Generation'. It reminds me of America's 18th President Grant. Why? Unconditional surrender!
I realize how old I'm getting when I'm one of the few people who remember who Bob Hope was
An honorary statue of Bob Hope entertaining troops
I'd swop my comfortable home for one of these, behind the California sea-gull
The baseball stadium for the Padre's
Relaxing at the beach
After swimming in the ocean, we hired beach cruiser's and cycled around 'paradise'. The tall white building at the back is the Hilton Hotel.
Cycling and swimming makes me hungry, so...................
We stopped to have lunch
This blue steel bridge is 2.3 miles long!
We enjoyed the hotel's pool and hot-tub
We also took a tour bus around the city. This place is called 'Little Italy'

  1. You stayed in the Hilton! Here in RSA, the Hilton is THE hotel to stay in! It looks fantastic. Brings back memories for me, thinking of the places you took me in San Diego, and is that not called the Gaslamp district, not 100 % sure, just thinking. But you are in your element on the beach, you are looking so good. Well you guys look like you had so much fun, and you deserve the break. Love and miss you all so much.

  7. Hi Kerry, You are right about George. His excuse is, "you are not a man if you don't look once. However, you are not a good mormon if you look more than once." Fortunately there was nothing indecent to be seen (hee hee)
